vbs script - fiber orientation calculation (3D) model

Hello everyone,

I want to automatic change the fiber orientation calculation (3D) model (select Material >> Details >> Filler/Fiber) and specify the settings of the model with part of a vbs script, used in a python script.

My Problem is, that the Moldflow Insight macro tool didn't collect the Informations for vbs during the manual variation of the model and it's properties.

The synergy API reference didn't helped me either, but that could be my fault.

Changing the settings outside of moldflow in a copied .udb file could be an alternative, but i failed by reading the .udb file...

Maybe someone has got any suggestions, that would be nice.

Hi,

could you try via Process Settings wizard?

(Or maybe you already did...?)

It normally collect the settings and property codes.

When active study: Start recording
Enter Process Settings
Advanced Options...
Molding Material: click Edit...
Select tab Filler and change properties.
Exit with OK
Stop Recording

Edit .vbs-file to review code

it should be possible for solver parameters as well:

When recording , via Process Settings, Advanced Options... Solver Parameters Edit...

This example uses

3 = RSC or ARD-RSC model (determined by length)

Set PropEd = Synergy.PropertyEditor()
Set Prop = PropEd.FindProperty(10080, 1)
Set DVec = Synergy.CreateDoubleArray()
DVec.AddDouble 3
Prop.FieldValues 635, DVec
PropEd.CommitChanges "Process Conditions"

635 Calculate fiber orientation using

[data item 0] Calculate fiber orientation using

Data type

enumeration

1 = Folgar-Tucker model with auto-calculated Ci
2 = Folgar-Tucker model with specified Ci
3 = RSC or ARD-RSC model (determined by length)
4 = RSC model with specified Ci
5 = ARD-RSC model for long fibers

If not, maybe a defect in release.
