I would like to generate this kind of 3D texture effect on external surface of an object.

Is it possible to make it with meshmixer?

Sorry, no out of the box workflow I know to get something like this via MM.

I think it should be possible to do it via mmAPI (a MM remote control coding package) while using third party libraries but that would need some coding skills....
