Plane Cut Measurement snapping every 12.5 units - want to remove snap feature

Something is really annoying me and I want to know if there is a way to resolve this... I'm new to the game and cannot figure it out.

When I am choosing to use plane cut on an object, it always jumps 12.5 units - I want it to jump via 1 unit at a time. I can't slice at the point I want to....

How do I change this snapping feature!!?

You can disable Snapping in the transformation widget by clicking on the green (= snapping enabled) circle (at 8 o'clock in the widget) so it gets grey (= snapping disabled).

To modify snapping increments hit the Up/Down key on your keyboard while the snapping scale is visible.

After hitting crt z to undo a cut so i can re adjust it, it starts snapping again making it impossible to cut at the right spot.
