Hello

i want to shape the surface of the 3d model of the walnut shell half to get a realistic look of the 3d print.
is there a way to bunch the deformation at the edge?
if i get too close to the edge with the surface tool, the plane surface will be deformed too.

You can restrict a sculpting brush to face group (> Brush flyout > Filters > RestrictToGroup).

So in Select paint the region orange and do Modify/CreateFaceGroup.

Now in SCULPT enable RestrictToGroup ....
