Hello everyone,

I just started to use Meshmixer to do papercraft, specifically low polygon papercraft.

I want to reduce the mesh from a 3D model like in this video but I cannot do it. The result isn't the same.

Can you help me to get the same result like the one presented in the video?

--> Result of the video using the bunny model and reducing mesh via Triangle Budget (500 triangles) and Shape Preserving :

--> And my result:

Thanks in advance,

Best Regards,

Haha, this video must be getting popular, see my response to the exact same question from a few days ago regarding the exact same video: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/meshmixer/spherical-triangles/td-p/9395754

"This is a rendering issue only. By default MM is set to use vertex normals (smooth shading). This results in ugly shading of hard edges on low density meshes.

You can switch MM to use the face normals instead:

Press the space bar to open Hotbox. In its Mesh>Normals section click on the middle button showing the facets on the sphere (In Hotbox the darker buttons are the active settings). You may do the same on the General tab in Preferences via menu (> MeshNormalMode)."
