Setting and tracking landmarks

Meshmixer question:

Is it possible to set certain landmarks on an object and track the coordinates of each landmark as the original object is transformed?

For example, if I have a cube and set each of the 8 corners as a landmark, can I get the coordinates of these landmarks after I translate and rotate the cube?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

You can use Pivots.

For the cube example:

Run EDIT/CreatePivots. Set its PlacementMode to SnapToVertex (any other placement mode should work too) PLUS enable LinkToTarget. Double click the 8 corners to drop pivots there.

Now do your transformations.

To get the pivots' positions after the transformation click on a pivot (> should be orange now) and run EDIT/Transform.

Enable EnableSnapping and AbsoluteCoords/Sizes. Now the values at TranslateX, TranslateY, TranslateZ show its absolute coordinates.

Sorry, forgot: You need to set Transform to CoordinateSpace = WorldFrame as well of course.
