Slicing Issue

Hi,

I'm having an issue slicing part of a helmet. The part I'm trying to print is shown in yellow and it shows the fins on the sides at the top. When I slice (red image) these fins're greyed out indicating they won't print. If I scale it so the whole part's smaller they will print. I'm at a loss why this should happen.

Can anyone suggest an answer?

Most probably, you need to build support structures for the 90° overhang regions?

Thanks for your reply. I'm using Cura 4.7.1. Have to admit manual supports didn't come to mind I'll give that a try tonight.

Still confused why it would generate supports when the model's smaller even with the same settings?

Turned out there were errors in the STL file. I fixed them using Netfabb now it'll print the supports.
