topic Mental Ray Shadow Pass in Maya Shading, Lighting and Rendering Forum

Hi, had a question about the shadow pass in mental ray, I'm attempting to have a shadow pass for my object that just shows up in the alpha channel to composite inside Nuke. I'm having trouble creating a render pass that will do this.

Right now I'm applying a mip_matteshadow onto my ground plane to have it not be visible, but this still isn't having my shadow show up correctly on the ground plane. I have selected Raw Shadow in my Render settings tab and set the Raw Shadow to 4 channels. The Beauty Pass also isn't showing a shadow in the alpha. The alpha for my Raw shadow is completely black.

If anyone has a solution or a tutorial that could help me out that'd be greatly appreciated! I saw that this question was asked before too, but after going through several tutorials and threads I couldn't figure it out, apologies if it's been answered a lot! Thanks!
