Usd Prim only visible after deactivating and reactivating prim

Hey, long time user first time poster.
Summary:
Stage with prim that references model not visible in VP2 until prim is deactivated and reactivated.

I have a stage with a prim that references a maya usda export of a model. the model contains 3 LODs (with duplicate names in each lod, E.g. prim/hi/body and prim/low/body). when I use the Maya Usd layer editor and load in the stage, the mesh is not visible (in VP 2.0), I switch to Arnold VP and the geo is visible, switch back to VP2 not visible. All of the LODs show in the outliner but none are visible. Then I deactivate and reactivate the prim they become visible.

Has anyone seen the before? I could really use the help.

turned out to be spelling error , XForm instead of Xform ........ facepalm
