Hi,

in Maya 2025 I'm trying out the Mash instancer for the first time and it has allowed me to take a group of objects and scatter them on another. Next, I want to get the transform data of each Instance and the source object it is instanced from and export that data using Python.

I see the MASH.api, I can also list connections on MASH nodes and get some information, and then there is openMASH which may be only for use inside the MASH python node.

I am not sure of the base way to get the data I need. Any thoughts?

Thank you,

Adnan Hussain

Not sure how to get the transform data through python and Mash but if I were you I would do all this in the Bifrost Graph.
You could also connect what you already having Mash and get the transform data or point data through Bifrost.
