Xgen does not create guides according to flat surface

I would like to use xgen to render grass along a typemesh. However that didn't work.

So to understand why, I decided to try to apply xgen on a single face of a cube, but it always create guides as if it was a sphere. See images attached. How come ?

XGen is based on OpenSubdiv.

Hi!

You need to use Smooth Mesh Preview to see what XGen is using.

Ok thanks, it's clearer now. Any way to configure xgen to be based on the
flat faces themselves rather than their smoothed aspect ?
