the default output of those actions is nurbs but you can change it to polygons in the option box. then you´ll be able to inset edge loops. if you want to stay in nurbs you need to use the tools under the surface menu. a rough equivalent to insert edges would be insert isoparms.

Edge Loop Not Working on Loft Surface?

Hello all, I'm currently working on a project of a model that my professor has given me and in his instruction video he inserts an edge loop on the current loft surfaced. As I was following the video, I come across the struggle that is the edge loop tool not working on my lofted surfaced like his model is. I tried erasing the history made on the object because that tends to mess up my modeling often, and as well looked up ways on how to insert one. The only thing Google is giving me is how to insert one on a poly surface, not lofted. please help 😣
