Hi, I have troubles with unfold3D plugin in Maya 2020!

When I try to unfold UV with Unfold3D I have this error: // Error: Unfold3D process error.

I have an AMD Ryzen 7300X processor and after some online research I found out that Unfold3D has issues with AMD Ryzen CPU.

With Maya 2019 I had the same error.

I tried to disable the SMT in the BIOS as suggested on the bug page but it didn't work for me!

I tried also to check the plugin in the plugin manager menu but the issue is still there.

Does Anybody know if there is a way to fix it?

yes, I have already found out this post, but there are no solutions in there.

Or maybe the answer is simply that there are no solutions.

Is there no hope to see this issue fixed in a future release?

In that case it would be really annoying... for me now it is not possibile to change my PC, so I have to switch to another software!

- As it can be reproduced now, there will be very likely a solution for this in future.

I wonder if anyone has a need to use this feature of maya or is it just handfull of people like me that find this bug very important?

When U post a error xD U get a solution:new Ryzen CPU don't support unfold 3d lol, Thought it suppose to be the other way around.:

Hi, I tried to solve the issue replacing two files as explaned by TOMOX in this other post:

Why hasn't this issue been solved yet? Threadripper 2950, Maya 2022 and I can't use unfold on even mid poly meshes. Crashes maya almost all the time. WTF?

The issue actually seems to be resolved for me in Maya 2022. Possible there
was some carry over from when i fixed it previously, but I don't think so
(Ryzen 3900x)
