Combine model causes deletion of other models

Hi,

When I combine parts of a model together, other models in my scene get deleted.

I've tried renaming the models and also removing them from the group but it doesn't help

See the attached video, the screen recorder didn't show the menu when I clicked combine.

I'm using Maya 2020.2

Hi!

These are very likely Instances.

I recommend to convert them to individual objects first.

Modify -> Convert -> ...

They are not instances, when I convert instance to object it says " . . is not an instance."

Hi!

If these not are Instances then there is very likely an other type of dependency/connection/history.

I recommend at next to try before combining the objects:

Edit -> Delete All by Type -> History

For further help, please provide a scene-file.
