I'm falling far behind on an assignment because of constant fatal crashes. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling maya, erasing history, and exporting as .obj and importing it into a new project. Other objects in the scene don't seem to crash when I use a merge tool like target weld on them. It mostly seems to be Drone:pPlane1 but I have had it happen on other objects. A similar post says it could be errors in the geometry so I'm thinking that's what it is. Can anyone help me identify what that is?

For example using target weld on the 2 selected edges causes a fatal error

Hi!

I am not able to reproduce any crash here.

What you can try:

1) Delete history

2) Update GPU driver

3) Different Viewport modes / Render engine settings like "DirectX".
(Preferences -> Display -> Viewport 2.0)

So it looks like it was some bad drivers from my 3d mouse.
