Yeah, it worked.

You can find out what any object is by it's default name or within the AttributeEditor, next to its (or its shape) node name field.

The green square is one of the orthographic cameras, which show up once you introduce an imagePlane. And, by default, those don't affect anything Mirroring related.

If you do mirroring, ensure the location of the pivot, it is better to have it in the middle of the object. As a thumb of rule, if you model anything based on the imageplanes, you'd center image planes so, that the symmetry axis of the model run through the origin. In head case, it should be facing +Z direction (front).

Newbie here. What is this in the screenshot and does it affect the mirror? I deleted half the object and tried to mirror the other half. I used the X and negative like it said in tutorial I was following, but the other half of the object mirrored on the opposite side of the green square away from the object. I saw other answers that said to turn off multi cut, but that made no difference.

Perhaps, image format matters, or running scripts in your browser.

Try JPG, or you can paste snapshots as inline images within the message text.

If it still fails, upload images to a cloud and paste a link to it.
