Nothing to do with edge locking in Channel Control here, as its purpose is to un/lock & un/hide channels from user input. As far as I know, with QuadDraw you are going to create a new object, not modify existing, so just keep that cylinder (or whatever mesh you are going to retopo) on a separate layer templated/referenced, and use it to snap the verts of the new mesh.

You can set Soft-Hard edges, and in its shape node PolygonComponentDisplay section choose DisplayEdges->Hard.

Hello there, So the idea was to lock some edges on my object by using channel control ( following the steps in my attached video), but the locked edge won't go into the non locked side again giving this error-Maya2022/scripts/others/PScreateLockingUI.mel line 270: Attribute name not recognized. //

is it a bug ? please tell me any other way to lock edges cause I'm gonna use quad draw tool to even out my edges but don't want some edges to move... I'm using maya 2022.1

@hamsterHamster @mspeer

Thank you,
