I was trying to start working on my new project which I have a perfect image reference image for but any time its been imported the image plane becomes pixelated which is giving me a headache and i can't even start because i cant see a thing. Its a Jpeg less than 2MB .....1.7 MB to be specific.

Hi!

This could be a problem with your Viewport settings.

Go to the "Renderer" Tab of your viewport. Expand your Viewport 2.0 settings by clicking on the square next to it. Then scroll to the "Maximum Resolution" Tab. The setting "Maximum Texture Resolution" is on "Automatic" on default, but you can see the number it chose grayed out below. If that number is really low, change "Maximum Texture Resolution" from Automatic to Custom and change the number to 1024 or 2048 (or higher if your reference is really high res), in most cases you should see your image Plane change immediately, but if it doesn't you might need to hit the "Reload all Textures" Button.

The Automatic Texture Resolution can sometimes get turned down when opening UI's that heavily rely on Images, like HumanIK for instance.

I hope this helps!
