Tumble around object issue.

Hi Everyone,

I've tried to google my issue and cannot seem to find a solution. I hope someone can help. I am using the latest version of Maya 2025. I am finding when I tumble around to view my object, it spins off into neverland and have to press "f" to get back to my object. I use the alt, left-click method to tumble around my scene.

This issue appears, if I have a face/vertex/edge selected, or the whole object. I also have adjusted the settings on the view -> camera tools -> tumble tool to have "Tumble on object" selected.

I have tried to record my screen (attached) to show the issue I am having, showing the object selected, and centered on screen and then tumbling around it - makes it spin off from my camera. I also showed trying to select a face on one side of the mesh, and then tumbling around to select a face on the other side of the mesh, and it spins so far away I have to press "f" to refocus and keep spinning around. Hopefully there is an easy setting to help me fix this.

Thank you so much for your time and help in advance.
