Hello dear modellers.

Currently, I am working on a game as a 3d modeller, in order to maximise the quality of the objects I started to try 4k (4096) packing resolution. It worked very well and raised the quality so much, but ai wanna ask does it make a problem for the game? considering the game is multiplayer and the objects are quite complex and medium poly?

Hi!

"...but ai wanna ask does it make a problem for the game"

This depends on many more factors, like the amount of objects and the computer specs.

Usually 4k textures are not a problem for modern hardware, but for better compatibility wit lower hardware specs (or automatic MIP mapping of the 3D engine) you need to make sure this also works with lower texture resolutions.
