Hey, I'm new to 3d modeling and I got a problem.

I have a lot experience in c# and c++ but for a project I'm working on Unreal Engine 4 I need to do some modeling.

The goal is to create a race track.

I created the surface and now I want to have grass on the outside of the track.

I selected the whole edge on the track and duplicated it with offset to get the grass. But on tight corners, the grass mesh itself was overlapping. I deleted the overlapping faces but now I'm left with a hole to fill. The Mesh -> Fill Hole function only creates garbage here.

Does anybody know how

a) I can fill these holes

b) a different method to create the grass where this problem does not occour?

Thanks for help 🙂
