Hey,

I'm finding that locking the normals on my models is actually changing the normals, so that my Normal maps no longer work correctly. If i then undo the lock operation, it changes the normals again to something else even more broken.

I have deleted all history before the operation.

I have combined and with another object to 'rebuild' the mesh.

None of the above change the way that LOCK NORMALS is affecting my mesh.

at this stage I'm having to work around it by duplicating my mesh... deform the original to the shape i want... then transfer attributes Normals from the duplicated mesh back to the original.

Is this a known issue? it's something I have experienced for quite some time now.

cheers
