hi mspeer,

yes, my units are still on default aka. in cm.

my objects are pretty small; the grass plane is like 1/4 of the grid and the scalp of the head is like 1 unit in diamater?

I'm currently experimenting with a workaround where I scale up my object and freeze their transformations. After binding it to Xgen I scaled it down again, but I didn't see a lot of difference?

but the manual typing in the numbers already helped a bunch!! If everything fails I will just type in something >100

Thank you so much for your fast reply!!

density is on 3000 currently...

heya!

I'm a beginner and have been trying to figure out why my xgen doesn't generate a full head of hair or a full field of grass...

I'm already on the far end of the density/preview percentage slider.

I could scale everything up and make the grass wider in the grass-scene. But I would like to to keep it consistent to another scene so...

does anyone has a solution this?

Thanks in advance!

Hi!

Do you use Maya default units (cm) ?

How big are your objects, because Density is in World Space?

You use a Density value of 100.0 in your Screenshots?

You can set Density higher than 100.0 , set a value manual in input field.

Hi!

"I'm currently experimenting with a workaround where I scale up my object and freeze their transformations. After binding it to Xgen I scaled it down again, but I didn't see a lot of difference?"

As i said, Density is in World Space, so the local scale of your object has no effect, it's just the final size in World that counts. Using Higher Density values is the most straightforward solution for you, otherwise you had to scale the whole scene.

Good luck with your project.

Please mark every answer that solves your problem as solution, so others interested in this thread will get a better overview.
