topic Mental Ray Plugin for Maya 2016 not recognized in Maya Modeling Forum

So I've hit a snag.

I'm learning the basics of maya to add to my ZBrush workflow but I'm having trouble with GoZ functionality. I was originally using Maya 2018 but quickly found out that Mental Ray was required for GoZ to work. With Maya 2016 being the last version to offer mental ray included with the program I made the switch. I realized that Mental Ray didn't come automatically in the software package so I downloaded the plug-in separately. Mental Ray for Maya 2016 shows up in my autodesk folder but not in the plugins folder of maya 2016. manually moving it over doesn't seem to work.

I should mention I'm running Mac OSX and I do have maya 2018 still installed. Any help would be much appreciated! I would really like to get things rolling with Zbrush and Maya.

-Marc
