Arnold Renderer Missing in Xgen Preview/Output Setting

Hi, I am struggling to render my Xgen object with Arnold, due to the missing of the Arnold renderer in the Xgen output setting. Please see the picture on the left.

The Render View turn out nothing except from the Cylinder and the Sphere objects only.

I think I have followed most of the instructions I have found, I did make sure the the MtoA plugin is loaded before the XGen.

Please let me know if there any part I have missed out, appreciate if anyone knows the solution for this issue. Thanks!

I am using Maya 2018 student version, with Arnold 5. Please find the attachment of the project file if needed.

This might look stupid, I had the same problem. After hours of trying everything, I started messing up in Windows / Settings / Preferences / and changed the settings from Render and Xgen, then changed them back to default. And now it's working I have no clue, makes no sense.

Resetting my Maya prefs (deleting the prefs folder) made it work
