    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&amp;nbsp;@Anonymous&amp;nbsp;and welcome to the community!&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;You probably accidentally&amp;nbsp;hit the toggle soft/hard edges display. To fix this, select your object and then the shortcut for&amp;nbsp;this is &lt;STRONG&gt;shift+RMB -&amp;gt; Soften/Harden edge -&amp;gt; Toggle soft edge display.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;If that doesn't work, you can go to&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;Settings/Preferences -&amp;gt; Display -&amp;gt; Polygons to Soft/Hard, Save Preferences and close Maya.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Then when you restart Maya you should be all set!&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>dotted edge loop in viewport</title>
