moving edge loop verticies independently

Hello,

I have been trying to get help with this topic for quite some time. After inserting edge loops they won't move independently so that I can model my character. I have attached a screen shot. with my first project they were both moving right at the same time. And now, well see screen shot.

Hi @Anonymous

It looks like you have soft selection enabled which is why the edge loops are yellow/red.

To disable this, simply press the B key!

Hi @Anonymous

What's happening now? Are the vertices and edges still appearing yellow and red?

If they look that way you still have Soft Selection enabled which can be disabled by pressing the B key.

Once disable, the edges and vertices should appear light blue. Once they look like that you can grab and move them independently.

If this doesn't help, please post more screenshots or video of what's happening on your machine.
