Hello community,

I'm currently working on a little scene for my portfolio, and for that, I want to attach a chain between an object and a wall. now I know I can create a chain by stringing together some torus. but this creates a lot of geometry, my question is, is there another way to create the chain and let it be affected by gravity without having to create so much geometry?

what I have done is creating torus, shaping them like a chain part and string them together (like in the screenshot)
then I applied active rigid bodies and gravity to the chain and passive rigid bodies to the hooks. but calculating this takes forever. if anyone has a method how I could achieve this in an easier way, that would much be appreciated!
