I need help to make an easy little skull

So uhhhh look, i'm really new to modelling and I kinda need help, I've tried multiple things but I've failed many times all I want is to do this (1st screenshot)

I tried this technique but it's an actual hell when I tried to make the shape of the skull (the face).

so yeah, am I trying to make something too detailed?, or i'm using the wrong technique?
Any help would be appreciated, Thanks a lot.

Hi!

I suggest to start with less details and then add details where needed, this let's you work faster at the beginning and keeps file size small.

Just start with a cube, move vertices and add Edges and subdivisions where needed.

For smaller details you can switch to sculpting (if needed).
