UVs seem to be locked

I'm following a rigging tutorial in Maya 2016. I'm at a point where I need to unwrap the UVs of the head so they don't overlap, but nothing I do changes the position of the UVs. I can't do a planer unwrap, automatic unwrap, I can't select any part of the unwrap in the UV editor. Selecting things on the mesh will also select in the UV editor, but non of the tools work. Do you people have any idea about what's happening?

Hi!

Please check for multiple UV Sets.

Also check for Pinning (try Edit -> Unpin All).

For further help, please upload a scene-file.

I'm not sure about multiple UV sets, it does have multiple materials but I don't see how that would effect the unwrap. I don't have them pinned, that's for sure.

Here's the scene file. This is the first time I've had to send a file online. If it doesn't work, tell me how to do it properly.

I can't seem to post anything with an attachment 😕 It just says the request wasn't able to send or something

Hi!

Try a simple and short file name without any special characters.

Try:

UV_locked.zip

If it still does not work, you can use any server and provide a link as far as it's available to the public and no special log-in is required.

Yeah, the title isn't working. I don't know any server what doesn't require a password. Do you know of one? (geez I feel like a total noob XD)

Hello, another solution is to reset your toolkit. In your UV editor, on the right you'll see UV toolkit written. Click on it and “reset all UV Toolkit Panel Setting”. This should reset everything and erase any potential pin action on your UVs. After that, try moving your UVs again and it should work!
