"Node State" missing in constraint node

"Node State" in the channel box attribute of a constraint is missing in node editor. Can not change node state via node editor.

Without access to Node State in Node Editor I cannot change the state of the attribute via other attributes so it can get keyed, now I really dont want to make script jobs just for a work around so hope this gets implemented.

Orient constraint its there but for parent constraint its missing.

Hi @YetiTech

I just made a simple aim constraint with two objects and the Node State was there like normal.

If you create a new scene file and try a simple set up like this does it still not appear?

What version of Maya are you running and is it up to date?

When you say Node State was there like normal..are you refering to channelbox or node editor? I have not checked aim constraint and I was specifically talking about parent constraint Node State in node editor missing.

Hi @YetiTech

I meant the channelbox but might mistake I misread your post. I'm checking the Node Editor right now and I'm not seeing it initially so I'm digging a bit more to make 100% sure it is indeed not appearing on machine either.

I'll get back to you shortly.

If you key the node state in the channel box, is it appearing for you in the Node Editor?

The node won't appear by default in the node editor but once I put a key on it the node state appeared in the editor as expected.

Thanks sean sounds like a good work around, im afk at the moment so ill check in a few days. However the parent constraint node state in node editor should apear without keying like orient constraint in node editor shows node state.

@sean.heasley I have checked and keying nodestate in channel box shows node state in node editor however I have a better work around simply connecting the node state via mel.. eg. connectAttr -f locator1.rotateX locator2_parentConstraint1.nodeState;
