Glad to finally see this come alive!

But unfortunately there are issues with the Bonus Tools for MayaLT when trying to use the unwrap tool. The tool does is not able to enter the unwrap mode with an error message that two methods are not defined:

setParticleCountVisibility

setCurrentContainerVisibility

Simply uncommenting the invocations in the method "bt_setupStandardHUDs" which is found in file "bt_autoUnwrapUVTool.mel" fixes this and the tool is able to function properly.

Thanks for reporting this,

I'll check out what we can or can't do with this, because if the unwrap tool requires particles it won't be able to work with Maya LT as there are no particles in Maya LT.

Now if only you could fix the two outstanding bugs that the community wants resolved. Well only one that's been given a lot of attention(loss of material on fbx export). The other is an annoying visual bug that can't be fixed on UVs.

I am in trial period of MAYa 2016 lt and I wanted to try these bonus tools, the instructions for installing are not clear to me. It says extract to my user preference folder found in my documents. Did that, open maya lt and no bonus tools... tried placing the MayaLT_2016_BonusTools.1 in several places now and still no bonus tools... is there something else I should do too?

You can test to see if its' being recognized at all by typing "bonusToolsMenu" in the command prompt. If that returns the error

// Error: line 1: Cannot find procedure "bonusToolsMenu"

Then it is not installed correctly.

Thank you for your help, aparently it is not installed correctly as I do get that error. So back to my original question, how do I install it correctly. I have placed the folder MayaLT_2016_BonusTools.1 from the zip file in my users\username\documents\maya\ 2016.5Lt\prefs folder .. is that not where it needs to go? I have also tried users\username\documents\maya\ 2016.5Lt\ outside of the prefs folder.

Here are the instructions that came with it..

Windows

Install Bonus Tools by extracting the zip package directly to the user preferences folder for the given version of Maya LT –or- extract to another location and copy the files there.

For example... C:\Users\Username\Documents\maya\2016LT\

users\username\documents\maya\ 2016.5Lt is the correct folder. The .zip file should be unzipped directly into that folder so that the contents will merge in correctly... for example the prefs and scripts folders should be merged with the existing folders.

"While the current zip file says "2016" it will also work with more recent versions including Maya LT 2017. We plan to officially update BT for Maya LT 2017 soon so stay tuned."
