topic Bridge tool bad geometry in Maya LT Forum

I'm using Maya LT SP4 EXT2 and been having issues with the bridge tool, anything beyond bridging a cylinder causes odd behaviour / bad geometry. At the moment I'm having to use Modo to get around the issue.

Example 1:

This is essentially a cube with the top edges moved slightly inwards, the second mesh item is a duplicate which has been combined. I removed history and freezed transforms just to make sure that wasn't causing an issue. It's very basic geometry, just 4 verts at either side that should have no problems being bridged.

Ok, so example two.. Again works fine in Modo.. This is slightly more complex geometry, although again it has been duplicated and the geometry is all in quads. I used the mesh cleanup tool just incase there was any issues with the geometry, again it wouldn't of worked in Modo if the geometry was bad..
