Maya Bonus Tools?

So I've tried to grab the bonus tools to speed the UV mapping process, but I simply can't find them anywhere. The documentation states it should be added automatically to MayaLT, but that does not happen. So I've read through a bunch of posts here and elsewhere to try and find out where it's installed and doing the script merge that has been mentioned. But I can't even find where it installs the bonus tools and I've literally searched my entire drive to find them. I've tried repairing, uninstalling and reinstalling, everything basically. Where are they? How do I get them to work?

Please note I have not changed any install paths for MayaLT, everything has been done exactly as the default setting for the installation process with no modifications at all.

@faline.custodio.da.silva No, I am currently using 2017. Should I upgrade to 2018 you think? Not sure if the bonus tools are actually available there though?

Bonus Tools are available for Maya LT 2017 but not 2018 yet. Have you tried resetting you preferences folder?

@faline.custodio.da.silva I tried that now and I also redownloaded the file (exactly the same one as I have) and I even uninstalled and reinstalled it again but no, it's not showing up. It's not even showing up in the autodesk directory in program files. The installer runs as it should but I have no clue where it's actually installing it.

I did manage to find it in the hidden ProgramData folder but it doesn't have the user scripts included to do the script merge as I've seen some have mentioned as a solution.

Edit: Should also note I've checked everywhere in the Windows --> Preferences settings as well as UI Elements but there is no Bonus Tools UI Element to activate.

I just tested this install with Maya 2017 LT and it is working for me. I used a few of the tools to verify.

When it was installed it seems to only create a few files.

Have you tried resetting Maya's preferences folder and attempting a clean install of the bonus tools again?

BonusTools has consistently been one of the most requested improvements on the Maya LT forums.

You can now download the installation package here -> MayaLT_BonusTools.

Note: The installation process for Maya LT is different. See the README.txt file in the zip folder for instruction on how to install. While the current zip file says "2016" it will also work with more recent versions including Maya LT 2017. We plan to officially update BT for Maya LT 2017 soon so stay tuned.

Thank you, I have read through it and searched around a lot to find a solution to my problem but since I couldn't even get the install file to install in the directory it was supposed to I ended up simply upgrading to Maya LT 2018 instead to take advantage of the improved UV editing there which did help quite a lot. It's more finnicky than using the bonus tools, but it works reasonably well.
