Maya 2019 auto-save clears out data from fileInfo

The manual states that "fileInfo provides a mechanism for keeping information related to a Maya scene file". If, for example, we use it to store an environment name, the autosaved file will not have any of the info we have previously saved using fileInfo. Is there an option to have autosave retain our data?

I tried the following after updating my maya to 2019.1 and 2019.3.1:
1) load scene with custom data saved in fileInfo

2) print the fileInfo to verify it's intact

2) let maya autosave file

3) open the autosaved version of the file

4) check fileInfo

but in both tests, our custom data is cleared out and is nowhere to be seen in the autosaved scene's fileInfo.

Ok, as for the custom fileInfo entries, I managed to replicate your case.

I can confirm that auto-save doesn't include those records in M2019.1.. there's just those default:

"exportedFrom" "application" "product" "version" "cutIdentifier" "osv"

I talked to support and they have confirmed that this is indeed an issue, and have forwarded it to the devs. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.
