&lt;P&gt;This is not possible.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You can hide objects you do not want to see after using "File Referencing", but you can't reference only a single object.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Based on your example it would be best to create a single file with the tree and then use this file as reference in the scene "Trees_All" and in your new project.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi there!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Let's say I have one big file with 500 trees, all in this single file. I'd call it "Trees_All" or something.&lt;BR /&gt;Now let's say I started a new exterior project and I want to reference only a single object/tree from the big file, how would I do that? From all I can see, referencing works by importing everything from the file?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I really just want to reference a few objects from the file but it brings everything, all trees, skybox, etc.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
