    <description>&lt;P&gt;Likely need to use references.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Reference the model into the maya scene instead of importing it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;But if you want to just replace stuff you can use the 'replace objects' function under modify.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Re-import .obj and overwrite existing meshes?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I model in Qubicle Contrustor and animate in Maya. &amp;nbsp;I want to modify my model in Qubicle Constructor as needed and simply have Maya do a re-import into the existing meshes where the names match. &amp;nbsp;Is this possible? &amp;nbsp;Some quick attempts at this did not pan out and I always get duplicates on the re-import.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
