Multi-cut bugs 2016 Ext2

Using 2016 EXT2 with the Multi-cut tool, if after making the cut if you press F8 or F9 (or F9 after F8), instead of being able to draw a selection marque around verts the cursor stays as the multi-cut tool...? This doesn't seem correct.

Also with booleans, after a bollean op the cursor changes from a selection marque to the move tool... not sure if this is intentional or not.

I've noticed since 2015 that the Multi-cut tool seems to have it's own selection toolset. For example, when I press Q to go to selection mode, it switches to a multi -component selection mode versus the native selection cursor. It could just be something innate to the Modeling Toolkit. Has this happened before? Or is it new?

I did try to recreate your steps in various versions of Maya and the outcome was always the same.

Perhaps you are doing it a little bit different than I do.

Would it be possible for you to create a short screencast where you can show us the issue?
