Arnold Render selected objects?

Hi All,

I am trying to render in Arnold just 1 object I'm my scene. When I check the box that said "selected objects only" it renders just the object, however, the buckets still render the entire frame.

For example,

if I had a sphere oject in the center of frame, the buckets start from the outer edge and spiral inward towards the object.

I watch 1 minute of the buckets rendering blank areas until it gets to my object.

Is there a way to JUST render the object ONLY and not waste time scanning the blank areas?

Hi!

With Maya 2017 on Windows it works correct (and the render spiral starts from inner).Only the Environment like Background and Atmosphere seems to be rendered anyway. I tested with a big background cube and a small sphere in front, can you do a test with such an easy scene too, to see if it's a general problem or scene-dependent?

Ok, I will start a new scene to test. Because the scene I am using now renders a clear background but it's taking just as long to render the emptiness as it is to render the object.
