Hello,

I am looking for a good software solution to place 3D models (.fbx files) and create sceneries, then taking shots ot them for paint-overs in Photoshop.

My question: Is Maya a good tool for this, or would you rather recommend something else? And yes, I am a noob when it comes to 3D...sorry! 😄

Thank you!

I think Maya is the best solution, it gives you a user friendly interface and so many tools to achieve the goal. You can place object manually or you can use xgen and mash to scatter thousands of meshes. And you have the best renderer to create the images, Arnold. Of course there are other software solutions out there but I think Maya is overall the best.
