Tapping space bar won't change viewport

When I tap the space bar to go between the 4-view panel and then tap again to maximize a specific panel, it no longer does anything.

What have I unknowingly changed in the settings to make this happen?

Multiple thinks can effect the viewport behavior. The most efficent and simple way is to reset the Maya prefs.

If you have many custom settings/scripts/hotkeys i don´t recommand it. Hope it helps! :3

Hi, I figured out an easy way to fix my issue. If you have a small panel that still opens drag that up to view its options. Then on the new panel use Panels> Layouts > Four Panes

Panels> Layouts > Four Panes

This sorted out well. Once I did this it is automatically working with Space bar after. Thanks

Going to Windows > Settings/Preferences > Panel Editor and then under Layout selecting "Four View" and that will force it to go into that panel layout. You can then conveniently add that button to your shelf using the "Add to Shelf" button.

Resetting preferences is not a solution.
