Ah well, thanks for the tip.

I shut the pc down and some time later restarted it, opened Maya and I was able to resize that big Time Slider window by hand, after which I docked it back.

Closing 🙂

Unable to resize the Time Slider to original size

Weirdly enough to post it here. It has happened a couple of times before, but closing Maya and reopening again solved the issue.

Basically somehow the time slider screen got undocked and resized as in the following image:

I made a custom workspace, nothing fancy however. I usually work on the wide mode (ctrl+space), and made hotkeys for the Graph Editor and Time slider for the purpose of economizing the space. The time slider window above can't be resized manually, nor with turn X workspace to factory default option either in the factory workspaces. Closing and opening Maya did nothing.

This kind of issues usually get solved by themselves with that trick, or after I restart the computer. I'm using Maya 2017 with the latest update.

Hi!

If nothing else helps, delete the workspace, search for workspaces inside the prefs folder:

Rename the folder prefs in folder 2017 to something like prefs_backup, or to reset everything, the folder 2017 to 2017_backup. Maya creates new folders. Detailed at:
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/maya/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Reset-Maya-to-Default.html
