Maya 2017.p3 Xgen interactive brushes strength keeps resetting

Hi all,

I'm currently using maya 2017.p3 on scientific linux 6.7 and enjoying the benefits of xgen's interactive grooming workflow. However I'm having the following issue - I mainly use my tablet pen's MMB drag to frequently change the radius of my brush (comb, freeze, etc, it seems to be happening with most of them). In some of my scenes it seems to work fine but in others as soon as I MMB drag the strength of the brush resets to either 0.00 (if my current strength is not 100.0) or 7.791 (if my current strength is 100.0). It seems consistent between flicks. I've double checked that I'm only flicking horizontally and not vertically.

Any help would be appreciated 🙂
