That did it for now and hope that's the solution in the long run. Thank you so much mate!

Quick follow up question, regarding the folder icon in the Xgen region mask, do I have to redirect it into the folder I "set" my project or I shouldn't mess with that option? Cheers!

Hello community, excuse me for creating another Xgen thread so soon but I'd like to be able to understand the tool before moving on again.

So this is regarding region masks and the maps you paint onto the mesh. Everything's working great but if I restart maya or load another project, I can't edit the previously painted region map.
Meaning I have to click "Create Map" again and paint a new one. While I create my new map I also use the folder icon to direct where the maps should be saved, is that the correct way to go?

My issue is when I reopen the project that I dont have that brush icon to edit my maps and have to recreate them. Whats the correct workflow?

Thanks for your time!

No problem and glad that worked! As for the folder it basically only determines where it gets saved to so you can try moving it but as long as you know where it is I wouldn't bother changing it.

By default, XGen uses a relative path to determine where to save and look for the files it needs and generates. The relative path is project dependent so not setting a project will have XGen saving files to unwanted locations and not being able to find them.

You can add an absolute path if necessary, as well as a relative path, separated by a ; and XGen will look to each in the list till it finds the files it needs.
