How do I export to an AutoDAC format? The plugin name for DXF_DCE and DWG_DCE is DC-EXPORT, but I don't see that as an option in my plugin manager.

Hi @Anonymous Maya 2017 does not currently have any DXF nor DWG export at the moment. This is being dealt with as the current ATF is still being updated.

I’m sorry if this is overly rude but IGES, STL, DWG and DXF export don’t work in Maya 2017? “This is being dealt with”. Perhaps someone should have had a solution before 2017 was released. I can’t just tell a client, oh I can’t do that right now, but it’s being dealt with. This is really unacceptable. Does Autodesk have an ETA on a fix?

If it's possible for you to migrate to 2018, the completed ATF plugin has been implemented. You can read more in the documentation here:

A lot of interchange format based workflows (particularly CAD) got screwed over with the 2017 cycle. My recommendation would have been to stay on 2016 if it were possible before moving up.

Hey thanks for the info, that will save me for sure. I would have stayed with 2016 but I had no idea all this was broken till after changing everything from Mental Ray to Arnold. Then I realized it... So yeah, anyway thank you for the info.

Hi there!

I am just dragging this post out of the past... I am trying to export projected curves to a dxf/dwg file for use in autocad... maya "exports" but the files are not showing up. I have been reading the posts, but it seemes this issue still hasnt been dealt with. Am I doing something wrong?

you can export to .dae file -> ofen this .dae file with sketchup -> and you can export what you want in there (sketchup export to 2D GRAPHIC)
