Must all parameters be manually typed in Attribute Spreadsheet?

When changing parameters for an attribute in the Attribute Spreadsheet (Windows-General Editors-Attribute Spread Sheet), can they only be manually typed in, or is there a menu for parameter options you can pull up within the Spread Sheet?

e.g. for Arnold-Subdivision-Type, there is catclark, linear etc. I have to look in the Attribute Editor to note them and then manually type the one I want to set it to.

Hi @litote

All of the settings found in Spreadsheet Editor can be found in their native locations in Maya, the sheet is just designed to have them all in one location.

For subdivisions like in your example. if you open the Attribute Editor and navigate to Smooth Mesh-> Subdivision Levels you should see the options for catclark, linear etc.

Hello Sean,

Am I correct in assuming you can't pull up a menu in the spreadsheet to list the options for parameters you can find in Attribute Editor? In other words, you must find the name of the attribute first in AE then manually type it into the spreadsheet? I was hoping it could all be found in the spreadsheet so you didn't have to hunt about.

Hi @litote

What you can do is go to the 'All' tab and you'll see a list of every parameter in the spreadsheet you can change.

That said, if you know what parameter you wish to change you should be able to type it into the search bar and see it appear.

Hi Sean,

What he means isn't to find the attribute to change, but to find a list of the values an attribute can be.

@litote Unfortunately I don't think you can do this by default in Maya, but I think it would be a great feature request and I would vote for it too!
