Maya 2018 Doesnt open, only splash screen appears

I have tried 6 times now at removing the program + all of its assets from my laptop directory. Ive deleted all of the temp files, Ive run cc cleaner multiple times to make sure that all of the files connected to the program are gone and it STILL doesn't open. It sits on the loading screen forever and doesn't actually run the program.

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the community!

When you went to remove Maya, did you perform a clean uninstall/reinstall of Maya? If not please do so.

Also, when you get a chance can you please post your machines specs?

Hey Sean!

Thanks for the help!

So far I've tried clean uninstalling and reinstalling, as well as, re downloading windows 10 just to make sure there isn't a corrupted file that was stopping it from opening.

Neither of those options work. Sometimes maya 18 will open but it never gives me an error message for when it doesn't.

When doesn't start up, it doesn't give me an output window, only this window

Hi,

I've been having this issue but I found that it only occurs when I launch Maya through the desktop shortcut. I'm using the Autodesk Desktop App to launch Maya successfully. It's a bit of a drag but gets the job done. I hope this helps.
