Hi @Anonymous

You could use the ID node and instead of selecting multiple objects with different shapes to mash just select the same object with the intended colors.

Please let me know if this helps or if you need any more assistance!

Color node on mash instancer object?

Hello!

When I use the color node it works fine, however when I switch mash geometry type to instancer the color node no longer is applied to my objects, this sucks because to get my mash creations into unreal engine I need to:

Switch mash geo type -> bake instancer to objects

How can i bake in the color information so each object has its own individual texture from the color node?

This is an old thread, but this answer is not correct.

Let's say you have 3 cubes, each with it's own shader, colored red, green, & blue. You create Mash network with a distribution of Initial State and add an ID node, and then a color node.

As soon as you switch the geometry type to instancer, the color node information is lost, and it reverts back to the rgb colors of the original shaders.
