topic freezes every time i open MAYA and mayalt FATAL ERROR in Maya Forum

need help getting fatal error. attempting to save.... and instant freeze!

I have literally tried everything that i could find on the interenet with my same problem.

I simply dont understand whats happening??

attached is the output window log .. I have tried downloading previous versions of maya as well as maya lt.

the same exact error always happens. and i can't even do anything because its just frozen instantly.

also i know it does work because i've had it on this same computer just last week.

Hi @snowkiid and welcome to the community!

From the Output log it looks like its pointing to a corruption in the dll files.

I would recommend you perform a clean uninstall/reinstall of Maya.

If that doesn't work, you may want to check to see what driver version your 1060 is on.

Our certified driver version for the 1060 is version 388.43. If you are not on that version, please uninstall your current GPU drivers and install version 388.43 which can be found here!

hey there sorry for the delay.

I have upgraded my driver with the link you have provided. As well as reinstaling maya LT and Maya 2017 and 2018 on both of my C and D hard drives. And i still get the same error.

where do i find my .dll files and where should they be corrected located? Maybe its something wrong with that?

Okay i have tried everything possible that googling has to offer.

Please see attachment of the same stupid error message i keep getting.

now what happens is that when i open any maya application i get the spinning wheel of death mouse icon when i hover over maya resulting in the entire maya application to crap out. the error message log ALWAYS SAYS THE SAME CRAP

now im ****ting myself because i need this fully working ASAP because i have an important midterm assignment due in just a few days.

i am a student trying to download both the student and trail versions.

All of the things that i HAVE TRIED

clean install/ uninstall (tried it like 50 times on different C and D drives even)

tried MAYA and MAYA LT 2016.2017 and 2018

that stupid windows fix it crap

deleting that stupid TEMP folder

running as admin

Deleting the registry keys

updating the Nvidia driver to the recommending version

Hi @snowkiid

It looks like Maya is having trouble finding your driver version. In the screenshot you provided, where it shows the driver version it is blank when it should show a file path.

For example, here's what my Output Window looks like when I launch Maya.

When you went to change the driver version, did you uninstall the old drivers first?
