Maya time slider problem with 4k screen.

Hello,

I have recently bought a 4k screen ever since i got the screen i have had a problem with maya's time sliderafter opening a file.

When i open up maya the time slider looks like Image 1. But ones i open up a maya file the time slider goes crazy and looks like image 2.

Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it. using maya 2017 update 5.

Have you tried resetting your preferences since switching to the new monitor? Does this happen with every scene you open, or just a specific one? If its just a specific scene, can you post it here so I can test on my machine? 🙂 If you'd rather send it in a private message that is an option too.

This happens when ever I open any scene, weather I saved it 10 mins before or a few weeks. The problem only appears when opening a file. When opening up maya without opening a file I don’t seem to have the problem. Just to add I am running one 4K display and a 1080p secondary monitor.

Does this happen when you open any scene file or just a few specific files?

Also, like @jordan.giboney said, have you tried deleting your settings/preferences?

If that doesn't work, you may also want to check your GPU drivers and make sure they are up to date.

I just figured it out this morning changing the “tick span” from 0 to 2 fixed the problem I believe. Will need todo more testing.
